As with each season, RB organized the RB Cup in association with Modelcar (RB distributor is Portugal). This year it was hosted by Hobbyset.net, a fantastic RC facility in Palmela, Portugal. The site includes an RC racetrack, a hobby shop, and a go-karting track.

Approximately 70 drivers attended the race, all with RB engines. The XRAY distributor for Portugal â“ Nuno Nunes Modelismo â“ was on site to bring all XRAY drivers the support they deserve.

The racing format was a bit different, as the TQ was delivered after four qualification rounds of 5 minutes. The top 8 drivers were selected to attend a TQ final of 10 minutes. The two classes were divided between the Pro class and the Expert class; many XRAY drivers attended the event in ether class.

Like the qualifications, the mains were run differently. The Expert class had a normal bump-up system, but the Pro class had 5 mains of 10 minutes.

I won 3 of them, with nice battles with Carlos Duraes driving his 808 2011. Unfortunately for him, he made some mistakes which cost him the overall podium.
The Superfinal saw Quentin Le Gall really fast and battling with the top spots. However, a shock nut came out and forced him to retire from the fight.
I lead the Superfinal from start-to-finish ahead of Miguel Mathias and Ricardo Monteiro.
